Randomness received its 10,000th hit on Tuesday 5 May 2009 between about 11:00 and 12:00 ET (23:00-24:00 CST). I don't know exactly who or when or what, though, because I've been getting so many hits on my blog with the China trip lately (you should see the graph) and I'm too cheap to pay for SiteMeter to keep more than my last 100 hits.
So I missed it. The big ten thousand. Oh, well. I was in Hangzhou, China... and I had more important things going on.

I've finally figured out how to get Blogger's inline commenting form to work with the heavily-customized blog template on Randomness. There may be some minor stylistic changes in the near future, when I can figure them out, but for now, this will do. No more messy pop-ups at least.
This seems to be a trend now. I edited my template so much to get it to do what I wanted, and now that Blogger are releasing robust features that do it automatically, it takes forever to find the code that needs to be changed.
Randomness logged its 9,000th hit at 16:31 ET on Monday 5 January 2009 from right here in Pittsburgh, PA.
I know very little about them, other than that they are running Internet Explorer 7.0 on Windows XP, that they are a Comcast subscriber, and that they came to my site directly. They also seemed to have read my post about my twenty-first birthday, because they seemed interested in that post's comments.
They haven't seemed to have left a comment of their own, though. Oh, well.

I am now twenty-one years of age. And while I suppose I could drink some of that rum my uncle gave me for my birthday, I think I'll hold off for a while.
The University of Pittsburgh Panthers lost to the Oregon State Beavers at the 75th Annual Brut Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas on 31 December 2008 by a score of 3-0.
It was a frustrating game... but I got a nice trip out of it.

Every time I consider leaving Blogger and going to a different blogging platform, they come out with a fancy new feature that entices me to stick with it. This time it's their new blogroll unit.
So instead of linking manually to everyone else's blogs, and having the more prolific writers take up eight of the ten "most recent posts" slots, everyone will only get one post shown, and the most recent writers will be automatically showcased at any given time. You can still always click "Show All" to show everyone's blogs, even down to the ones which haven't been updated in a year.
Randomness logged its 8,000th hit at 02:11 ET on Friday 23 May 2008 from Nutley, NJ. They used Firefox on Linux and disabled JavaScript, so I don't know much else.
Since they used Linux, though, I have a nerdy suspicion that they came here from my profile on a rather nerdy wiki I'm a member of. Not Wikipedia. Something immensly nerdier.
