It's much easier in Blogger Beta to get rid of the annoying "1 comments" link. Everyone knows that one isn't plural. Well, a little template tweak in two places, and the extra "S" is gone! Unless, of course, it's supposed to be there.

The only downside for international bloggers is that you have to hard-code the words "comment" and "comments" in whatever language. Changing the language setting on your blog will not change the word for "comment"; you'd have to do this manually.

If anyone wants to do this to their β-blog, let me know, and I'd be happy to walk you through. Or maybe I'll revive Blogger Bits... Now that there's all this new Beta stuff to play with.
